Tommy finished up the soccer season on Saturday with a 5-1 win!!! He was so excited to get a "real" medal!! He starts T-ball this Saturday...hopefully he will do better than I remember doing when I was in T-ball.

This year Rob and I have really wanted to do more activities with the kids and less time spent inside watching tv.  So we wanted to do something active with them for their spring break and yet be easy on the pocket book.  We decided to take them down to southern Utah to see St. George and Zion's National Park, both which I have not seen either.  It was beautiful and lots of fun!!  The kids had tons of fun and kept asking us if we could stay longer.

Baby Einstein

Kenzie LOVES the dvd Baby Einstein!!!  When she is watching it she hardly moves...she sits on the floor and just soaks it in.  I didn't think babies at this age had that kind of attention span...

Easter 2009

Easter was pretty good this year.  We celebrated on Saturday so that Rob could be around for the egg hunt and dinner.  I made dinner for the family, I truly know now how much work my mom has always put into those big holiday dinners!!  It was raining so we did the egg hunt inside...the kids didn't mind since they still got lots of candy and money.  Kenzie loved the plastic eggs...she would grab one and then hold it in the air laughing.

Jumping

Kenzie likes being in her jumper....sometimes she goes crazy but is cute at it.

Afton had her first dance performance; she did great.  It was so fun to sit there and watch her show off her little dances that she had learned.  The pictures didn't turn out but we did get some videos that I will work on getting posted on here.

Kenzie is getting better everyday.  You have to be watchful because one minute she will be across the other side of the room, she is a quick little girl.

It has been a while since I have updated my blog but I think I have a pretty good excuse.  Our very cute little girl finally arrived the day after Tommy's birthday!  She came with no real serious problems except that when she was ready to come she came quickly!  I was admitted at 7:30-am and she was born at 11:03-am!!  I was given the epidural that I so very wanted but she had her own birth plan and was ready to arrive.  So in 2 contractions I went from a 6 to a 10!  Can you say OUCH!!!  4 pushes later she was here and she was beautiful!!

Fishin' Day!!

Today we went fishing up at Trial Lake with G&G Barlow.  It was me and the kids first time to go fishing, besides fishing at girls came to pass off on a requirement.  My only worry was who was going to get snagged by the hook first?  No injuries thankfully just lots of sun and fish.  Ron threw in the first line and within 1-2 minutes we had us our first fish.  Afton & Tommy really enjoyed reeling the fish in while Kindra scooped it up into the net.   We ended up with 12 fish I think...not so bad for our fist day!

4th of July

One of my favorite holidays!  I don't know if it is the excitement of the firework show, the good BBQ that you know your going to have or the gathering of all your family and friends....I love it all!!   Rob had the day off which was so nice since it was his first holiday to have off in two years!!

As tradition calls for the culdesac of fire each 4th of July, so does the trip to Evanston, Wyoming to get the "good" fireworks.  This year we made the trip with Grandpa & Grandma Barlow and Max the dog.  What a fun day!  After arriving in Evanston and gathering a trunk load of fireworks we decided to take the back way home and see the beautiful mountains and lakes.  The kids loved being able to hike up Provo River Falls with Daddy and Grandpa.

It got up to the high 90's today so we decided to do "indoor" activities.  The kids have never been bowling before so we decided to go and give it a try.  Janae, Kindra and Drayden  joined us for a game. The kids thought the bowling shoes where the coolest shoes ever and ran around trying to find the right color bowling ball for them before they could start the game.  I think if the object of the game was to see how slow you could roll the ball without knocking any pins over then the kids would be pros!!  It was very fun to watch them try to roll those heavy balls down the isle without slipping and falling.
